BLACK & WHITE

Nature series started ten years ago when I was working at a local auction house during breaks and lunches. I found it curious the number of household items; decorative, furniture, rugs, art, and clothing that had a nature-based theme to them. The need to capture and control the wild aspects of nature is so strong, that it seems to transcend into almost all aspects of our daily life. 

After working on individual series taken at a local zoo, estate sale environments, and empty gardens I realized the connection between the bodies of work. The series is a work in progress but I believe how we treat animals and the environment is directly related to how we treat each other—human nature.
